Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
beck & beyond GmbH
Alte Steige 17
73732 Esslingen, Germany
Managing directors: Valerie Beck & Tobias Hocke-Beck
Data-protection contact email: hallo@beck-beyond.com
2. Hosting
This website is hosted with an external service provider. Personal data collected on this website is stored on the hosting provider’s servers.
The provider is Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Servers are located in Germany (EU). A data-processing agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host. Uploaded media is additionally stored in Hetzner Object Storage (EU/Germany).
3. Server log files
The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser automatically transmits (e.g. browser type/version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing device, time of the server request, IP address). This data is not combined with other data sources and serves the technically error-free presentation and security of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Contact form & downloads
If you contact us via the contact form or the Digital-Check download, we store the data you provide (name, company, email address, topic and message – or, for the Digital-Check, only the email address) to process your request or send the requested content. We do not share this data without your consent.
Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures / fulfilling your request) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficiently handling inquiries).
5. Analytics (Plausible Analytics)
This website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly web analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies at all and does not build a personal profile of your behavior across different websites. Only aggregated, anonymized metrics are collected (e.g. page views, referrers, coarse country/region-level location, device type) along with a small number of custom events we define ourselves (e.g. "Kontakt"/"Digital-Check" on a successful form submission). Plausible does not permanently store IP addresses. No personal data is sold or shared with third parties.
Because Plausible sets no cookies and builds no cross-site personal profiles, prevailing view holds that no consent under the German TTDSG (§ 25) is required; processing is based on our legitimate interest in the needs-based design and statistical evaluation of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We use the hosted version of Plausible (Plausible.io). The provider and processor is Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia; data is processed exclusively within the EU. A data-processing agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
6. Your rights as a data subject
Subject to applicable law, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the processing (Art. 15 GDPR), as well as rights to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, e.g. the state data-protection commissioner for Baden-Württemberg (Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg).
To exercise these rights, please contact the controller named in section 1 (hallo@beck-beyond.com).
